VoterMap – Communicate to the World

Written by on February 13, 2011 in Uncategorized - 1 Comment

VoterMap is a map based forum for political discussion, anywhere in the world. Originally devised for the US elections it has since become the app for group discussions on of all the current issues today.

This app literally lets you communicate with the world – you simply post questions on any topic and wait for a response. It integrates nicely with Google Maps, so you can see the location of people using the app. It does this by storing the location of each post – but be warned!  For privacy reasons when posting I would recommend you use the ‘fuzzy’ location otherwise you could unwittingly post your home address!

Furthermore you can look at posts from other countries around the globe – recent events in Egypt have led to some interesting discussions with Egyptian users of VoterMap.

Overall I really enjoy this app – just be wary that some users maybe slightly offensive at times.
