This month, World of Goo was released for Android. If you haven’t heard of the game. It is an insanely addictive and fun puzzle game where the aim of the game is to guide goo balls from one place to another. Sounds easy but what I didn’t mention though is that the game is extremely hard and frustrating. To guide the goo balls through the levels, you need to create structures from the goo balls themselves. They make very unstable structures which easily fall apart. If the structures fall down, you fail the level!
World of Goo is an award winning game which is available for platforms including the Wii, iPad and PC. No wonder that the app already has thousands of ratings and is currently rated 5 stars on the Android Market.
- Great on Android - Android mobiles and tablets are a great platform for World of Goo. It seems like the game was destined for a touch screen as it feels much more fun and natural than the pc version.
- Large download – The game is nearly 30mb which takes up quite a bit of space on your mobile. If your mobile is one of the many Android phones with a very limited amount of internal memory, the game may take up too much space.
- Only one chapter – This version of the game only includes one chapter. This means that you’ll miss out on many of the great levels of the game.
A comment on the Android Market puts it nicely with the words, “Move over Angry Birds”. World of Goo has been a game loved by many for years and years. The difference is, it’s now on the best gaming platform ever!
