Not that long ago my sister introduced me to a new Android app, a game, that has taken our family by storm. The game’s called Draw Something and it’s quite addictive. That’s okay because it’s fun as well.

There is a cool style of game that resides on smartphones these days that are interactive and tend to bring people together. I really got into Scrabble on my Evo because I got to play with my family and I know many people also get into Words With Friends which is quite similar. One of the aspects of games like these that make them so interesting is the social aspect. You can play with friends and sometimes even strangers.

Draw Something is much like Pictionary but on your smartphone. It’s available on Android and iOS, on phones and tablets alike. You can use Facebook to connect with friends currently playing the game which is very cool because it’s a quick an easy way to find out who’s playing and start a game with them. On top of that, you can initiate games with random strangers. This way if you don’t have many friends playing the game, you can still get into it.

You play the game by taking turns drawing something and guessing what that something is. The game begins when one user is given a choice between three words, each one more difficult than the one above it.

For drawing a picture well enough to be guessed, each player receives coins. Then the other user gets to chose a word to draw. This carries on and turns out to be interesting, with everyone having differing levels of artistic abilities.

Conclusion:

Draw Something is a hit game that many are picking up and enjoying. It allows people to show their artistic side, interact with friends and strangers, and have an all around good time. Be careful though. It can become quite addicting!

Sounds like the ability to save and share drawings, as well as a chat feature, are on the way in upcoming updates! http://www.androidpit.com/en/android/blog/403841/Draw-Something-updated
